Internship Opportunities

Who we are...

The Wright Leadership Institute provides courses, programs, training, and coaching to help people live the lives they desire. Our curriculum includes all areas of life; work, relationship, self esteem, and community service. We pride ourselves on helping individuals achieve their highest potential. Our leadership, entrepreneurship, sales, career, and other business courses are highly regarded, as are our singles, couples, family, and other programs. Students often report living full lives beyond their wildest dreams. Interns can earn the opportunity to participate in our programs too.

Our philosophy...

We believe that there is infinite potential in each individual and our internships provide a unique opportunity for participants to develop professionally and learn in a subject area while developing themselves personally. An internship is applied learning, an opportunity for you to gain hands-on experience in the fields you have been studying. Because we are a small business with a wide and varied student body, many of whom are successful entrepreneurs, our internships give you practical experience in your field of interest, as well as an opportunity to experience a wide range of careers and specializations within our operations and by learning about student businesses.

What we have to offer...

The Wright Leadership Institute employs staff whose fields range from marketing, to media production, coaching and training to public speaking, writing and PR. Small but mighty, we produce what a large company can in a fraction of the time. As an intern at the Wright Leadership Institute, you can expect a high return on your investment. You will learn to work with excellence at high velocity, to hone your talents and time-management skills to where you are performing at a level you never thought you could achieve.

In addition to our dynamic staff, you will be exposed to our impressive student body, whose fields cover a multitude of interests: consulting, marketing, media, design, writing, editing, IT, finance, publishing, and more. Our students are at the top of their game, and are very involved with the mentoring of our interns.

Currently, we have internships available in the following areas, or any combination thereof:

- Marketing/Web Sales
- Media/Educational design
- Coaching/Training
- Publishing/Public relations

Structure...

Your Project and Resume Power-
In addition to team activities that require juggling many varied responsibilities, we attempt to give each intern an exciting and challenging project for which they are primarily responsible. Throughout the course of the internship, the intern will develop and work on this project with supervision and mentoring, ultimately producing a resume or portfolio item for the intern to use in future job interviews.

Your Personalized Training-
Every week, interns and junior staff have an hour discussion with a senior staff member on the subject of the internship. This meeting is a time for the intern to seek guidance on his project, to ask general questions about fields of interest, or to familiarize himself with the Wright Leadership Institute as a business and corporate culture.

Outside Experts and Consultants-
We attempt to make outside consultants and experts available whenever possible when we don't have the internal expertise to help interns with their projects.

Field Trips-
We attempt to use our rich and varied student body to both bring in outside lecturers and provide field trip experience for interns to see other career practitioners in diverse settings.

Mentorship-
Each intern has a half-hour a week of mentorship. A member of the staff or student body meets with the intern to discuss what he's learning and thinking, and explore the implications of what he is doing.

Additional Opportunities...

Courses and Seminars-
Interns have the opportunity to attend courses and seminars at the Wright Leadership Institute, either for free or for a reduced fee.
